Meals from our kitchen, at no cost, for people who cannot afford them.
Something the kitchen chooses to do.
Phoenix cooks every day for people who are recovering. The Care Programme is the part of that work we give away — complimentary recuperative meals, prepared in the same kitchen as everything else we make.
It is for someone in a hard stretch — usually a serious illness, sometimes something else — in a household where paying for meals is not possible. We send the same food we cook for everyone else, for as long as we're able.
How to ask
There is no form and no application process. Message us on WhatsApp, tell us what is happening and we will discuss what we can do.
If you work with people in this situation — a doctor, a hospital, a welfare officer, a social worker — you are welcome to reach out on someone's behalf.
You do not need to explain more than you want to.
